New Website
Welcome to our new website.
In addition to a new look, the site has been redesigned to help you take advantage of the Groton trails. As you explore the site, here are some features you will find:
- The Welcome page is the home for information on trail updates and featured trails. We’ll also post upcoming events such as GrotonFest, Riverfest, nature forums & lectures, and guided trails hikes. There are also quick links to get to the trail map or report a trail issue.
- A new Search is available in the top right navigation menu to quickly find a specific place or topic. In the phone or tablet view, hit the hamburger menu icon in the top right to see the navigation panel and search is on the bottom.
- Our Interactive Map on the Navigate page is organized by regions so that your can see all the trails in the area. Be sure to use your GPS location to explore trails and find connections to nearby trails. You can also report a trail issue such as a fallen tree, heavy brush or grass on the trail or if a trail is impassable due to flooding.
- The Activities page is designed to help you find the trails that meet your interests. You’ can search for activities such as hiking up to a drumlin vista, river walks, horseback riding, and mountain biking. You can also search sections of the town to see connected trails and drill down for details about specific properties.
- For those wanting more information on what you experience out on the trails, the Observe page is your reference source for learning about the glacier impact on the area, what’s going on under your feet, around you and when you look up.
- A new Volunteer page has been added so that you can find ways to help out on the many projects and activities we undertake each year.
