    Martins Pond is located smack in the middle of Groton. This trail takes you from the Scarlett Hill parking close the the connecting Priest Family conservation. The property consists of woodlands and wetlands along the outflow to Martin’s Pond.  Although only a 3/4 mile trail, the trail offers two close up views of the pond.

    This network of many trail loops though evergreen woods traverses over and around glacial features, such as kettle holes and eskers.   • Skinner Forest Area

    Skinner Forest Conservation area is a very nice hiking area with several miles of trails. Trail difficulty is generally easy with some moderately difficult hills. Trail conditions are good, though they are rocky as this used to be a logging area.
